Program themes that inspire discovery and benefit the community
The Youth CAUSE - Climate Action and Urban Sustainability Emissaries - Initiative is an exclusive, invite only six-week workshop program mentoring youth on how to be ambassadors of science in their communities. We encourage all forms and styles of scientific exploration, discovery and creativity whether it be a lab experiment testing a new idea, art project expressing a scientific opinion or a public service announcement showing how science can be used to solve issues. By facilitating diverse research collaborations and effective communication with community leaders, our goal is to enable "future generations to have a voice" as emissaries of science, particularly in the areas of climate change, urban sustainability and public health.

Our youth have been working very hard on their science projects, and we are all very excited to share our ideas with the community so let’s support our future leaders by having a great turnout! Our youth will be sharing their science research on water quality, greenspace, local weather and urban sustainability issues through presentations, short films and discussions with the community. The summit will also feature climate change science demonstrations and activities from our ’Sidewalk Science’ youth. Promises to be a fun event for the whole family!
How Do I Get Involved?
We invite you all to come and interact with our youth ambassadors and learn about how their research is solving issues in our community. Guest speakers, art displays, live demonstrations, youth press conference, we have it all. Free admission but tickets limited so be sure to RSVP early.
