YSA ANNUAL FUND || #GIVINGTUESDAY
Your YSA team has been hard at work increasing STEM program offerings and opportunities, but has also been tackling repairs to our learning space due to damage from Hurricane Florence. Please consider joining many others in helping YSA thrive for years to come.
The impact of our work can be seen everywhere....
...in the awareness our young scientists are bringing to downtown Wilmington about urban sustainability, in making advances in high-level scientific research, but most importantly, in the faces of those children who visit explore Wilmington’s waterways, marshes, and urban areas with Dr. Rob and our team of educators and volunteers. The impacts to these children’s lives goes beyond a simple extracurricular activity: they are learning to be effective communicators and leaders in their families, schools, and community. Thanks to your support, YSA has been able to enhance our community by offering low-cost or free science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) programming to 75 children this year. We partnered with downtown humanitarian agencies, schools, and churches to identify eager young scientists who may have been missing out on these opportunities due to cost or location. This year, we initiated home-school programs in science, technology, and computer programming for families who may have trouble finding affordable active learning curricula on those topics. Many of you have seen us bringing our enthusiasm for STEM to the public through area festivals, such as the Azalea Festival Parade and LakeFest. |
Support YSA in fulfilling its mission by making a gift to the Annual Fund. Thanks for supporting our youth programs.
