Dr. Rob Condon

Founder & Executive Director

Rob - aka Dr. Rob - is a passionate and accomplished educator and marine scientist with over 20 years of global experience working in academia and education on a variety of environmental issues including global jellyfish blooms, the Deepwater Horizon oil spill, and changes in coastal, ocean and urban ecosystems. He has lived in Wilmington since 2014, where he founded and currently serves as Executive Director of YSA.

Rob is an experienced scientific communicator with over 30 peer-reviewed publications and over 100 media interviews, including National Geographic, NY Times, CBS Sunday Morning Program, MacLean magazine, Huffington Post, and the CBC 'Quirks and Quarks' program. In his spare time, Rob loves to play golf and take on fun coding projects in Python!
